Omaha Performing Arts Ambassador Program

OUR MISSION …

To provide exceptional customer service and ensure every patron has a safe, positive and enjoyable experience while attending events in our facilities.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of an Ambassador is to make sure patrons have a positive & enjoyable experience while attending events at our facilities. We accomplish this by doing the following…

  1. Pleasantly greet each patron.
  2. Speak clearly and make eye contact.
  3. Be patient and courteous at all times.
  4. Be knowledgeable of the event and venue.

As Ambassadors, everyone, regardless assignment or specific responsibility, makes a significant contribution to the success of each event. You are greatly appreciated!

The second but equally important responsibility of an Ambassador is to ensure patron safety. Because of this an Ambassador must meet the following requirements …

  1. Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  2. Move quickly and safely up and down stairs.
  3. Be calm and able to assist a large number of patrons effectively and efficiently in any emergency situation.

Obligations

Ambassadors are required to arrive 90 minutes prior to each event for which they are scheduled. (This time is subject to change as determined by the needs of the event) Ambassadors are also required to stay throughout the duration of the event and briefly afterward to assist patrons exiting the facility.

Ambassadors should have internet access and a valid e-mail account. All Ambassador scheduling and correspondence is done via the internet and e-mail.

Scheduling

Each season is broken down into 3 sessions. A list of available events for each session is provided approximately one month prior to the beginning for that session.  Ambassadors must submit their requests of events they are able to work by the given deadline.

Assignments are given based on Ambassador tenure and number of events the Ambassador has worked the previous 3 sessions.  After assignments have been approved, confirmations are sent out via e-mail and made available on the Ambassador web site.

Becoming an Ambassador

We are not recruiting new applicants at this time.
